2022 – DWTS 3

Our 3rd Annual Kamryn’s Cause “DANCING WITH THE STARS – St Jude Style” was held Saturday, July 16, 2022! We had TEN wonderful Teams that helped us to raise over $20,000 for St Jude Children’s Research Center in memory of Kamryn Dorsey!

Team 3 Generations

Russell Castille  – was born and raised in St. Martinville but has been living in Loreauville since he married the love of his life, Joni. They have been married for 35 years and have one beautiful daughter, Kylie, and two adorable grandsons Cason and Cameron. Russell has been a mechanic most of his adult life and is currently a mechanic supervisor at Berard Transporation in New Iberia.  Russell is also the lead singer and bass player of the band SIDESHOW.

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “ I am very touched to be a part of something so great!”  

Kylie Hebert – was born and raised in Loreauville where she still currently resides with her handsome husband of 5 years, Mica. Together they have 2 wonderful sons Cason and Cameron. Growing up Kylie danced for Bridget’s Dance Academy as well as Paige’s Dance Studio. She was also an LHS Cheerleader during her high school years. Kylie is an account manager at Scott Logistics in Lafayette.

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “I was so excited to be able to make memories with my dad and my son!”

Cason Hebert – age 5, is currently a Kindergarten student at Loreauville Elementary. Cason is in his second year of baseball with Loreauville Youth Baseball Association. He shares the passion of music with his grandfather and has been playing the drums since he was 2 and has been singing since he could talk. You can sometimes catch him playing guitar and singing at events with both his grandfathers in the band SIDESHOW.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? “I’m most excited about dancing in front of all the people!”

Team Daddy Daughter Destroyer’s

Beau Delahoussaye – owner of ON TIME Lawn and Tractor service was born and raised in Loreauville where he still resides with his beautiful wife of 13 years, Amanda. Together they have 3 beautiful daughters, Charity, Chelsie and Charli. Beau has also been blessed with 2 grandsons – Jaxson and Blake.  He is an active member and serves at Our Saviors Church. Beau also states and I quote – “We Love our Community!!” 

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS?“It was an honor to be asked to participate in honor of Kamryn and to be a part of something so special alongside of great people.”  

Chelsie Delahoussaye – age 13, is currently a 9th grade scholar student at Loreauville High School. She is active in 4-H Club, Chapel Club, experienced 2 years of LHS Jr High Cheer and will be an upcoming LHS Tigerette for the 2022-23 School Year. Chelsie has danced at Bridget’s Dance Academy for 6 years and has been a part of the BDA Elite Competition team for 5 years. She is also active in the Our Saviors Church Youth Group.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? “Dancing with my dad and help raise money for Kamryn’s Cause!” 

Charli Delahoussaye – age 3, is a total dancing Diva and loves to shadow her sister Chelsie in her Tik Tok videos. She is in her first year of dance at Bridget’s Dance Academy and will participate in her first dance recital this coming April. Charli loves to work on the farm and feed the animals in her rubber boots whenever she gets the chance to.  

What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? Shaking my tail feather with my dad and sister on the BIG stage!” 

Choreographer – Kasie Gondron, owner,  instructor and choreographer of the new Loreauville Dance Studio – Solely Dance. She is also the coach of the LHS Tigerettes Dance Team and Co-Owner of CHEMIXtry.  

 

 

Team Bam Jam

Mitzi Eldridge – is a Full-Time wife, mother, grandmother and also a Part-Time businesswoman. She was married to the late Jimmy Eldridge for 35 years and they have two wonderful children, Brant and Alix. She now shares a life with Erne Plessala, Jr. (Nub). Together, they are blessed with eight grandchildren (Gunner, Bralyn, Alyce, Preston, Talon, Myrelle, Jeanne and Watson) and one great-grandchild. Mitzi was born and raised in Loreauville and can often be spotted toting her grandchildren here, there and everywhere in between. Mitzi has always been involved in various businesses and activities that allow her to express her creativity and bubbly personality. She currently does this through her business named “Something From Me”. Mitzi’s unique gifts and accessories are displayed at local businesses and markets. She also has a passion for cooking and entertaining. Her home is always welcoming and she takes great pride in feeding family and friends her delicious homemade cooking. Mitzi and her family are lifelong members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loreauville. 

What was your feelings when you were asked to be a part of Kamryn’s Cause, Dancing With The Stars this year? “I cried tears of joy when I received the call to participate. First of all, it is such an important cause and my heart literally melted when I heard how excited Bralyn was to dance with me, her aunt, and her cousins.” “Getting to dance with all of my girls puts a huge smile on my face and is a big check off of my bucket list!”. 

Bralyn Eldridge  – age 17, is currently a Junior at LHS and will be starting her Senior Year in August. She lives with her father, Brant and her brother, Talon. Loreauville has always been her hometown, Go Tigers! Bralyn loves to dance and feels her best when she is dancing. She is currently a member of the LHS Tigerettes. She has 12 years of dance school experience, which helps her express her natural talent. Bralyn also enjoys being around children and babysitting. 

  What are you most looking forward to for this DWTS event? “After helping out with this event in the past, I knew I wanted to be a part of the show. When we got asked, I was super excited! It is such an honor to help out St. Jude’s in memory of Kamryn and I am most looking forward to dancing with my MiMit. Taunsie and cousins. This will be a fun night!!”.

Team Better Together

Christopher Jacob – was born and raised in Loreauville, has been married to his beautiful wife, Shearro, for 23 years after dating her for 6 years prior. He is the proud father of 4 of Gods Best Blessings….3 sons-Christian, Calep & Collin and 1 daughter Bralyn. Chris has owned his own trucking company for 20+ years. He is the founder of the ATV group, Team Mud Hustlers. Chris also recently joined an RV Traveling Group, Louisiana Gators. He loves to tailgate (especially at sporting events). Chris and his family are parishioners at Our Saviors Church on the Broussard Campus.

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? Unsure at First!! Thoughts – “What is my wife getting me into now!?…..But once I was informed more about it, I knew it was for a great cause and decided to tag along.” 

Shearro Jacob – was born and raised in a small New Iberia community named Morbihan (on the Loreauville Road). She has been married for the last 23 years to Christopher Jacob, who has been the love of her life since she is 16 years old. Together they are blessed with 4 wonderful children, Christian, Bralyn, Calep & Collin, twins that she refers to as their “2 for 1 blessings after our Rainbow baby”. Shearro has been a nurse for 20+ years dedicating her gifts to the Iberia Parish School Board Nursing Department for 18 years, shortly after having their twins. Her greatest accomplishment is being the mother of 3 sons and 1 daughter and loving every chapter of it. Shearro is a faith filled woman who worships at Our Saviors Church on the Broussard Campus with her family.

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “I felt so honored when I was asked to participate. Knowing all of the wonderful things St Jude provides for patients and families, I didn’t have to think twice. I only had to convince my team and that wasn’t hard at all.” 

Calep Mikel Jacob–  age 18 is currently a Senior at Loreauville High School and will graduate in May. He is an honors student with an above 3.5 GPA. He participates in BETA and National Honors Society. He is a stellar student and a natural leader at LHS. Calep has been a phenominal athlete participating in Football (QB), Basketball and Track.  He is also well known in the community and social media world…TIK TOK Famous as they call it! Calep is also one of the newest signees for our UL Ragin Cajun Football Team.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS?  “I am most excited to dance on the big stage with my twin, my mom and my pops.” 

Collin Maleek Jacob – age 18 is currently a Senior at Loreauville High School and will graduate in May. He is an honors student with a 3.5 GPA. He is a member of the LHS BETA club. Collin is very active in multiple things at LHS especially sports. He has been LHS first string WR and Safety bringing the LHS Tigers team to multiple victories these last 4 years. Collin also participates in Basketball and Track, where he has received numerous accolades spanning from Regional/District/State. He is an outstanding leader for those who come behind him. He is a Beast at Tik Tok videos and is Tik Tok Famous in the social media world. Collin is also one of the new members of the UL Ragin Cajun Football Team. 

What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? “I am excited to use my talents to raise a lot of money for a great cause!” 

Choreographer – Ajia Collins, teaches and choreographs at Louisiana Dance Power House. She is also a dance team coach at Belle Place Middle School. 

Team Dreams

Sydni Duplechain –  is a 2019 graduate of Loreauville High School. She has been dancing since she started school and finished off her 12 years of dancing competing for Tammy’s School of Dance. After she graduated, she carried on her love of dance by performing in musicals with Teche Theatre, Abbey Players and IPAL, where she also acted as choreographer. Sydni now spends most of her time working as a bartender and server at Fezzo’s in Broussard.

  What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “I am honored to be a part of this show and excited to help out a great cause like St Jude in honor of sweet Kamryn.” 

Leah Duplechainis a 2021 graduate of Loreauville High School and has been dancing for over 12 years. She is so much a fan of children, that she currently works with them at Tiny Blessings Daycare and Learning Center. Leah’s future plans are to attend Cosmetology School.  

What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “I am both honored and ecstatic to be a part of this fantastic event. St Jude has been wonderful in the treatment of both Kamryn and my best friend Hailey, who has had her own battle with cancer. Kamryn was my best childhood friend and she meant the world to me. To be able to do anything in her memory brings me joy.”

Team Drivin’ Me Crazy

C.L. Romero  –  is currently enjoying retirement from his welding career, was born in New Iberia and moved to Loreauville 49 years ago when he married his beautiful wife, Georgette. Together they have 4 wonderful kids – Beth, Cody, Brice and Cole and 5 adorable grand kids – Alex, Emily, Quinn, Jhy and Tate. He has been a member of the Loreauville Hunting Club since 1972 and he is also a charter member of the Pit & Pot Supper Club. 

What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS?  “SHOCKED!!!!!…..but I couldn’t tell my granddaughter No.” 

Beth Romero Huval – was born and raised in Loreauville where she currently resides with her handsome husband of 13 years, Ryan. Together they have 2 wonderful children, Alex (14) and Emily (8). Beth works for The Rehab Center of Iberia Medical Center.  In her younger years, Beth was a 4 year member of the Tigerettes dance team, and took dancing for 13 years. These days most of her free time is spent driving her kids to their extra curricular activities but enjoys reading when she has a moment to herself.  Her and her family are members of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loreauville. 

What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “ FEAR!!!!……I haven’t danced in front of people since high school!. I was also honored to be asked to be a part of such a great event.” 

Emily Huval – age 8, is currently a second grade student at Loreauville Elementary where she is on the honor roll. Emily loves to dance. She is in her fourth year of dance at BDA, she is in her third year on the BDA Elite Competition team and she is also on her third year of tumbling!! 

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS?  I am looking forward to getting to perform  on stage with my mom and grumpy and also supporting Kamryn’s Cause.”

Team Girls That Go Boom

Ashley  Courville – was born and raised in Catahoula and is a 2002 graduate of St Martinville Sr High. Ashley is also a 2006 graduate of SLCC.  She moved to Loreauville when she married the love of her life, Chris Courville. They have been married for 13 years and have 3 beautiful children, Landon – age 15, Remi-age 8 and Audrey-age 7.  Ashley is a dental assistant at Russell Davis Dentistry and in her spare time enjoys baking and playing in her flowers. Ashley and her girls also share a love for doing arts and crafts together. As a family the Courville’s enjoy camping as much as they can anywhere and everywhere. Ashley has been on the St Joseph’s Tailgate Committee for the past 3 years.

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS?  “ Very honored to participate in this event and nervous at the same time!”  

Remi Courville – age 8 is currently a 2nd grader at Loreauville Elementary. Remi has attended Bridget’s Dance Academy for the past 5 years and has been on the BDA Elite Competition Team for the past 2 years. Remi loves fishing, dancing, dressing up and getting her nails and make up done! She also shares a love for camping with her family and doing arts and crafts with her mom and sister.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS?  “The dancing and all the practices!” 

Audrey Courville – age 7 is currently a 1st grader student at Loreauville Elementary. Audrey has been attending dance classes at Bridget’s Dance Academy for the past 4 years.  Audrey also loves fishing, dancing, dressing up and getting her nails and make up done! She too shares a love for camping with her family and doing arts and crafts with her mom and sister.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? “ I’m excited to dance!!”

Team Gypsies

Dustin Olivier – has been a Control Room Operator for Enbridge for the past 15 years. He has also been the owner of Sign Gypsies Queen-City and Acadiana Sign Gypsies for the 5 last years. He is married to and I Quote “ The beautiful, hard headed Jamie Olivier for a long, long……..long, long time.”  Together they have three beautiful children, Kaine Joseph, age 15, whom he refers to as the man child and 9 year old Twin daughters, Emmy Claire and Reese Blaire.

Dustin was born and raised in Grand Marais. He is a member of the Grand Marais Mardi Gras Social Club “Unknowns”. He still refers to Grand Marais as his hometown but He also loves his Village of Loreauville and the people there. He is proud to state that he is the only LOUISIANIAN that is a Die Hard Washington Redskins Fan……now known as the “Washington Commanders.”

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS?   “My feelings and thoughts were “Awe Yeah, we can do this!!” but as it got closer to fully committing as a family of 5 performance, we dropped down to just me and my girls (after bribing them). But my honest feeling was, it’s all for a cause and a great one…..St. Jude!!” 

Emmy Claire Olivier  and Reese Blaire Olivier – both age 9, will be starting 5th grade this upcoming year at Loreauville Elementary. The twins have no real extracurricular activities BUT they do enjoy Friday Night Football, where they cheer with their friends and Root on their brother and the LHS Tigers! The twins are teaching themselves how to be singers, while also learning to be self-sufficient.

 What are you two looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? “ We are excited to sing and dance in front of a live audience with our dad!”

Team Shake & Break

Tammy Fontenot – originally from Carencro, has been a resident of Loreauville for the past 10 years. She is married to Ronald Simon and together they have 5 children – Jacob, Jared, Jordan, Jaron and Justice. She is also the grandmother to seven – Jace, Jaylee, Jia, Laykin, Hadlee, Kamille and Silas. Tammy is a financial secretary for IPSB at Belle Place where she is also the Belle Place Middle School Cheer Coach.

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “I was honored to do it. Kamryn has a special place in our hearts, especially being a family member of Kamryn and knowing what a special person she was first hand. She brought so much joy to our lives and is missed daily! …………I can’t think of a better way to honor her and her memory!”   

Jaylee Henry – age 7, is currently a second grader at Loreauville Elementary when she is on the Honor Roll. She has been taking dance lessons at Bridget’s Dance Academy for 5 years. Jaylee has a huge passion for dancing as well as tumbling. 

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS?

 “ I am looking forward to dancing with my Meme!”

Team Come Get Dat

Quinten Adcock – has lived his whole life in Loreauville and is also a 1992 graduate of Loreauville High School where you can still find him supporting the LHS Tiger Football Team. He is married to the wonderful Megan Adcock. He has 2 beautiful daughters,    Jenna – 16 and Brynn  – 13 as well as 2 beautiful stepdaughters, McKenzie Clay – 16 and Mia Clay – 12, he also has a handsome Stepson Payton Clay – 18. Quinten followed his lifelong dream and is the current Owner and Chef of QDog Café.  

 What were your feelings when you were asked to participate in Kamryn’s Cause DWTS? “Tibi knew what she was doing when she approached my daughters before coming to me. It was enough pressure for me to say yes………I never knew Kamryn personally but I’ve been friends with her parents all my life. That & being a father to daughters around that age, makes this hit close enough to home to embrace this cause & what is her legacy with the same passion as everyone who’s participated before, during & after this event. The Loreauville community has always stepped up in a big way when it comes to events like this one to help others. This is our time to step up & be the best US we can be for a cause & a little girl who’s touched all of us in a major way.”

Jenna Adcock – age 16 is currently a 10th grade student at Loreauville High School. Jenna is very involved at LHS, she is a Varsity Cheerleader, has been in BETA for the past 6 years and is also a 3 year member of the Chapel Club. Jenna loves to dance and has attended Bridget’s Dance Academy for the past 9 years and has been on the BDA Elite Competition team for the past 2 years.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? “I am most excited to raise money for such a good cause and to help children and families while doing what I love and with the people that I love!” 

Brynn Adcock – age 13 is currently a 7th grade student at Loreauville High School. Brynn is a member of the LHS Jr High Cheer Squad and has been in BETA for the past 4 years. Brynn shares in her sisters love for dance and has attended Bridget’s Dance Academy for the past 7 years. Brynn also has a passion for theatre and has been a theatre student for the past 5 years.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? I am most excited to raise money for such a good cause!” 

Mia Clay – age 12 will be an upcoming 7th grader at Cecelia Junior High. Mia has a passion for tumbling and has attended Alex’s Tumbling for the past 3 years.

 What are you looking forward to doing for your first time on DWTS? I am most excited to raise money for a good cause while sharing the stage with my family!”

 Choreographer – Saige Brady, godchild of Quinten, was a 4 year member & captain of the UL Ragin Jazz Dance Team where she is now the assistance Coach. She also teaches at ELITE Dance Force.
